I need some help and guidance. I'm a new graduate hopefully passing my cpc exam failed twice. My situation is I'm a biller/coder for a family practice. My question is A) correct billing/coding the 99497 with all three levels of Medicare wellness visits. B) What to do if I feel like a provider is committing medicare billing fraud? I would really like some feedback from the coding/audit standpoint. I like the methodology of the teaching from CCO that's why I feel comfortable reaching out.

Hi Steph,

I bill as well for a Internal medicine an I used for all Medicare patient G0439 for their wellness visit and medicare are reimburse for that code. Make sure you only have Z00.00 on those claims when submitted.
